Hand wraps protect the small bones in your hand and support your wrist. Wrapping correctly is one of the first real boxing skills worth learning.
Step by step
- Loop the thumb and bring the wrap around your wrist 3–4 times
- Wrap across the back of the hand and around the knuckles 3 times
- Make X-shapes between each finger for support
- Lock the thumb, finish at the wrist, and secure the velcro
How tight?
Snug, not cutting off circulation. Make a fist — it should feel firm and supported, not painful. If your fingers tingle, loosen it.
