Pricing Questions
Is there a joining fee at Uptown Fitness Centre?
No. There is no joining fee, no registration fee and no admin charge. The price you see on this page is the price you pay.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. Every membership is month-to-month with no twelve-month lock-in. You pay monthly by EFT on the day that suits you, and you can cancel any time with one month’s notice.
How do I sign up?
Online at uptownfitnesscenter.co.za/join in about five minutes. Pick your package, sign the indemnity on your phone and pay your first month by EFT — banking details and your reference are shown the moment you sign up. After that you pay monthly by EFT on the payment day you choose.
Do I need my own gloves to start?
No. Gloves and all the equipment you need are provided while you get started, so just bring training gear, takkies and water. Buy your own gloves later, once you know you enjoy it.
Can I drop in once instead of joining?
Yes. A single boxercise drop-in is R200 and a single Saturday bootcamp session is R200, or R300 for two if you bring a friend. No membership needed.
How much do boxing classes cost in Randburg?
At Uptown Fitness Centre in Northgate, group boxercise runs from R800 a month for three sessions a week, R1 200 a month for unlimited classes, or R200 as a one-off drop-in. Private 1-on-1 coaching with Oumpie starts at R1 600 a month.
